Editorial standards
General manuscript format
Times New Roman 12 pt; 1.5 line spacing (tables and figures single spaced).
Spacing before and after 6 pt.
Margins 2.54 cm, justified text, first line indentation 1.27 cm.
- Length: between 5000 and 7000 words (including references, tables, and figures).
Article structure (see guidelines for authors)
- Title (in Spanish and English)
- Abstract (150–250 words in Spanish)
- Keywords (five in Spanish)
- Abstract and keywords in English
Body of the article (check the guidelines for authors according to the type of contribution)
We recommend reviewing each of the templates according to the type of work and contribution:
Citations and references
- APA style, 7th edition, both in the text and in the reference list.
- Include DOI when available.
Tables
- Must comply with APA 7th edition style:
- Number in bold (e.g., Table 1) aligned to the left.
- Short title in italics and in Title Case.
- Horizontal lines only: top, below the heading, and bottom; no vertical lines.
- Explanatory notes below the table (general, specific, or probability).
- Cited in the text as “As indicated in Table 1, as shown (Table 1)...”
Figures / Images
- They must be sent separately, not embedded in the manuscript (separate file).
- Accepted formats: TIFF, PNG, JPEG, SVG, etc., with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi/ppi (600 dpi is recommended).
- Each file must include the figure number, suggested name, and caption, or this information must be provided in an additional document.
- In the main manuscript, place the figure or table in the appropriate place.
Author(s) details and transfer of rights
- Transfer of rights:
- Authors must complete a transfer of rights form (or Creative Commons license in Open Access models), which will be sent as a separate document from the main manuscript. Click here.

- Full name, institutional affiliation, email address of the corresponding author, ORCID (if available), and any specific contributions (first author, corresponding author, equal contribution, etc.), click here.

Contributions according to the CRediT methodology

Each author must include the applicable roles according to the CRediT taxonomy, selecting from the following 14 categories (multiple roles may be assigned if applicable):
- Conceptualization, Methodology, Software, Validation, Formal analysis, Research, Resources, Data preservation, Visualization, Supervision, Project management, Fund acquisition, Writing—original draft, and Writing—review and editing.

- Conceptualization Main idea of the study, problem statement, and objectives. Originality and ethics
- The manuscript must be original, unpublished, and not simultaneously submitted to another journal.
- Include the necessary ethical authorizations and, if applicable, informed consent from participants.
