Letters of assignment of rights and originality
The Electronic Journal of Emerging Technologies in Education (RETEE) requires the completion of the letter of transfer of rights and originality as part of its commitment to good editorial practices and scientific ethics. This document guarantees that the manuscript is original, unpublished, not currently under review for publication elsewhere, and that the authors transfer the necessary rights for its dissemination, ensuring the legal protection of the work and compliance with international intellectual property regulations.
In addition, RETEE adopts international policies that reinforce its commitment to transparency, ethics, and open access:
- Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE): The journal follows COPE guidelines, promoting integrity in scientific publishing, the proper handling of conflicts of interest, and the ethical resolution of possible cases of misconduct.
- Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0): All published articles are distributed under this license, which allows use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided that the authors and the journal are given appropriate credit.
- DORA Statement (San Francisco Declaration on Research Assessment): RETEE adheres to the principles of DORA, promoting responsible evaluation of research that goes beyond quantitative metrics and prioritizes the quality and impact of content.
- Budapest Open Access Declaration: In accordance with this declaration, the journal promotes free access to scientific information, ensuring that articles are available without economic or legal barriers.
- Mexico Declaration on the Evaluation of Science: RETEE supports the principles of this declaration, which emphasizes the need to evaluate science considering the diversity of contexts and practices, prioritizing the social and academic relevance of research.
Together, these guidelines strengthen RETEE's editorial policy and underscore the importance of the letter of transfer of rights and originality as a tool that ensures ethics, legality, and open access in the dissemination of scientific knowledge.
