Privacy Statement

The Electronic Journal of Emerging Technologies in Education (RETEE) guarantees the confidentiality and protection of the personal data of all participants in the editorial process—authors, reviewers, editors, readers, and other contributors—in accordance with the ethical principles of scientific research and publication of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Data collection

The personal data provided in the system (full name, institutional affiliation, email address, ORCID iD and other contact details) are collected exclusively for editorial, scientific and administrative purposes, in accordance with ethical publishing practices.

Purpose of processing

The information collected will be used solely for the following purposes:

Confidentiality

All personal data is kept strictly confidential and is not shared with third parties without the express consent of the interested parties, except for duly justified legal or institutional obligations. Manuscripts submitted for evaluation are treated as confidential documents and are only made available to designated reviewers, under single-blind or double-blind review models, as appropriate.

Protection measures

The journal takes reasonable administrative and technical measures to prevent unauthorised access, misuse, alteration or loss of data. Information is stored and handled using secure editorial management platforms (e.g. OJS).
