Consideraciones sobre la formación en los posgrados en educación: contexto, orientaciones, problemáticas y retos

Graduate programs mean a chance to professionalize students dedicated to educational functions, regardless of their professional profiles, bring possibilities of forging in the field of new research ways to study the phenomenon of education, therefore, during the decade of nineties the offer of master and doctoral programs increases; this is a good measure if you bet that graduate programs in education can contribute to improve educational quality in a nation at all levels.
Recently, CONACyT, the governing body in the field of higher education, makes a demarcation between two types of graduate programs: the professionalizing and research, without this latter meaning a precise description of the differences between each other and remain subject to interpretations which from the social imagination take shape in the curriculum proposals and point to objectives and different profiles. The postgraduates studies are in need of re-edited looking the background that is expressed today and with this, the curriculum overdeterminations that draw new demands on the dynamics of graduate programs such as quality assurance through accreditation or certification of the posgraduates studies.
