Abstract

Abstract

This article conducts a documentary investigation on stage anxiety in musical performance. It starts with a general definition of the disorder and then describes its characteristics in relation to musicians, its degree of spread among artists, and also reports on whether the study programs have subjects to solve this disorder, the role of teachers in the generation of this condition in their students and whether they are prepared to propose solution strategies. In addition, some procedures that have been applied in research to remedy or reduce this condition are explained.

A review of documents on anxiety in musical performance was carried out, mainly theses, books and articles dedicated to the subject, in order to locate this condition that affects musician artists, as well as to reflect on the subject and its possible solutions.
