In Líneas imaginarias. Arqueología, Nacionalismo y el Norte de México, Víctor Ortega León, carries out an accurate critical study, based on Archeology, of a large number of texts and investigations, where he exposes the way in which Mexico has approached the northern portion of the country, from the history of our discipline by the institutions and government policy, exposing the fact that, in more than a century of archaeological explorations, the importance of this region of the country has been systematically left and minimized and when it is intended to study it This is carried out from Mesoamerica and not from the north itself, from its own territory and construct. Unlike the way American researchers see the same territory.
