In this paper, I will analyse the implications of "historicism" in modernity through two authors (Leo Strauss and Hannah Arendt), who have developed a political thought in response to the need to rethink the problems of modernity at the root of totalitarianism of the twentieth century, imperialism, violence, racism, world wars, and the destruction of the fundamental values of man.
