Introduction: Resilience is considered a protective factor for health to achieve continuous improvement of personal strengths and therefore guarantee quality in the provision of services to the population. Objective: Descriptive, comparative, cross-sectional study to identify the level of resilience of nursing staff who worked in covid-19 areas in a public hospital. Method: The sample consisted of 91 nurses who worked in covid-19 areas, the ER-14 resilience scale validated in the Mexican population was used. Results: The level of resilience was shown in the present study as: "Very high resilience" (58.2%) only 1.10% presented "Low resilience" those who were married had a higher level of resilience, the technical academic level showed a higher level of resilience than those who had a postgraduate degree. In addition, the higher the exposure in covid-19 areas, the level of resilience increased, and also the higher the job seniority, the higher the level of resilience. In addition, night shift A showed a higher level of resilience compared to the remaining shifts. Conclusions: It is relevant to point out that no studies were found that show the level of resilience of nursing staff during the covid-19 pandemic in Mexico, so it would be interesting to carry out comparative studies in the future to identify whether the level of resilience was maintained. increased or decreased before, during and after the pandemic.
