This research hopes to make contributions to the characterization of the subsistence mode of the janambres in order to analyze and understand it. First, it is an investigation that allows us to approach a definition of the hunter-gatherer subsistence mode of the Janambres indigenous people and the concomitant activities.
The article has been divided as follows. First, the theoretical and methodological approaches from which the present work starts are presented. Then we address the archaeological, historical and anthropological background that concerns us, in relation to the Janambre ethnic group, former inhabitants of the study region to try to recreate their way of subsistence and provide a more accurate approximation to their daily life. Finally, the ethnographic work and the implications related to craft work and the way of subsistence of the current inhabitants of the region are presented with the proposal of the janambre way of subsistence.
