In this essay we will focus on Guy Debord, a French thinker who in the late sixties carried out a radical critique of contemporary society. We intend to study the close relationship Anselm Jappe –and other authors– establish between Debord's Situationism and Karl Marx's critical theory of value. We will analyse Debord's recovery of Marx's critical vision of modernity.
