Abstract
This paper focuses on a summary of the rock art panels studied in the bachelor thesis in archeology that I presented in 2018 at the School of Anthropology and History of Northern Mexico, in which the main objective was to corroborate or discard an astronomical component in the petroglyphs of the Hill of the Devil (Peñon del Diablo); and at the end of the same study, this component was corroborated in 4 groups and 1 rock art panel.
Broadly speaking, this article will focus on presenting the recording of the five rock art groups, with the aim of showing their characteristics with respect to their location, the rock art motifs represented, and the observed phenomenon. Finally, a preliminary interpretation of the role of astronomical observation at the site will be made based on the information gathered, which is related with the archaeology of hunter and gatherers groups and cultural astronomy.
