Abstract

The study of the cultural landscape in Milpa Alta, has been applied as a tool for holistic analysis, that is, with a global and integral perspective that combines the natural elements of space and its transformation by cultural events, seen as a whole. It is precisely an overall perspective that makes it possible to appreciate the configuration of space through time and thus perceive the different moments of occupation and its various components; in this way, the line of research that concerns us here, the system of agricultural terraces developed extensively in the elevations present to the southeast of the Basin of Mexico, realizes its great development, importance and complexity achieved, defining through its exhibition, the typology and that of its characteristics registered in the area.
