Abstract

When faced with elements whose archaeological context is unknown, an interdisciplinary approach offers options for the retrieval of information that allows knowing the time, region and cultural affiliation of origin; The methodological proposal and the approach to the research questions derived from the initial observations are shown. In this way, a practical example of the research and dissemination strategies implemented when analyzing the biological collection is offered that, although delivered by an individual to a recently created museum in the capital of Puebla, evidences the usefulness of integrating an interdisciplinary team and the broad study perspectives for the recovery of the knowledge of the past.
