The objective of this paper is to analyze the importance of the internships in the Economics Program of the Universidad Colegio Mayor de Cundinamarca - Colombia. The methodology used was based on semi-structured interviews to students and employers, and the documentary analysis compiled during the last five years. It is concluded that each one of the agents involved in the process of the internships gives a high value to this activity due to its high contribution to the process of training. professionals in the economic sciences, the articulation between the university-company and the generation of value of the practitioner to the organizations.
