The theory of learning styles recognizes that all people learn differently, the latter must be identified to teach how to learn. As a basis for this research, neurolinguistic approach was selected where three learning styles are defined: visual, auditory and kinesthetic. The objective is to analyze predominant learning style by degrees to propose teaching strategies that facilitate teachers to generate meaningful learning in students. The descriptive study is based on a mixed methodology, which showed all students in the first semester the 2018A school year of the University Center of the North of the University of Guadalajara and 22 of the teachers who teach them. The instruments used to collect information were the VAK questionnaire by Ralph Meets (1999) with students, and semi-structured interviews with teachers. As quantitative results it is evident that in 73% of the careers the styles predominate in the visual, kinesthetic and auditory order and that 90% of the teachers do not know it. At a qualitative level in students there is a waste of the styles they have to optimize learning and teachers who do not teach according to the characteristics of the student body. In conclusion, teaching strategies are proposed based on the different predominant styles by degree, to guide teachers in each area of knowledge and promote meaningful learning in students.
