In spite of a growing interest in mexican public university teachers, mexican society still ignores a lot about them: who they are, what they do, what their impressions are regarding the conditions in which they work, and so on. This is why the present work investigates about their professional life that directly relates to their personal life. Under the title "Impressions of the Knowledge Workers from Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí in relation with the conditions of work context generated by PRODEP and SIN (by its initials in Spanish) quality programs," this research explores the opinions of a select group of professors from the Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí about his own work, work conditions and the repercussions in institutional, family and private spheres due to belong to this quality programs. Through a mixed qualitative and quantitative study, results reports that this information must to be taken up by this institution, if the goal is to improve work conditions for teachers, as well as their productivity in the fields of Teaching, research, mentoring and dissemination.
