The objective of the study is to analyze the contribution of the use of digital resources and
mind maps in the development of critical thinking skills in university students. It is a quantitative,
descriptive, longitudinal, and quasi-experimental research study. A pre-test and a post-test were
administered to an intentional sample of 12 university students with a mean age of 35.5 years. The
results confirm that the use of digital resources and instructional strategies like mind maps promote
the construction of meaning and critical thinking in students, provided that the profile and specific
training needs of the university student are placed at the center of the learning and evaluation
process, along with teaching support.
