The coat of arms from Mexico is an historical work written by Cayetano de Cabrera y Quintero. Among the topics addressed by the author are: the matalazahuatl epidemic, the swearing of
the Virgin of Guadalupe, foundation dates of the first hospitals and the building of the first churches in the New Spain, the origin of the guadalupan worship, among others. The
book was taken out of circulation by request of Manuel Antonio de Luyando y Bermeo, Professor from the Royal University, whom express his disagreement with the different Vice
royal authorities, because De Cabrera y Quintero denigrated him affirming he was opposed to the swearing of the worship of the Virgin of Guadalupe. Nowadays is known that the Viceroy
Francisco Güemes y Horcasitas wrote to Fernando VI, King of Spain, to report the kidnap of the literary work.
