The territorial organization of Zacatecas during the Intendancy, 1786-1821

This work studies the territorial aspect as an articulating element of the political-institutional cohesion of the jurisdiction. As soon as Zacatecas was endowed
with the legal status of intendancy capital, the complicated task of articulating its territory with intermediate political authorities that oversaw the four causes of government began. Thus, what follows is a descriptive account of how the territory of the Zacatecas administration was integrated and how it built its jurisdictional authority.
