Abstract
Throughout history, philosophical thought has primarily been constructed from a theological or anthropocentric conception, however, the introduction of new 'beings' into reflections on the possibility of knowledge, consciousness, language, or the soul compels us to philosophize from new approaches. This article reflects on how the existence of animals, and particularly dogs, understood under the conception of otherness, could reveal new horizons regarding some of the great philosophical questions.
